Did you know that when kids don’t read over the summer, they are likely to fall behind when they head back to school in August? Brauchle has made it a priority to try to prevent these learning losses and keep our students’ skills sharp by encouraging them to read all summer long! Read here and below for our 2 summer reading programs!
Help us break a world record by tracking the minutes your child has read for the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge at www.scholastic.com/summerreading. There’s even a app called the Scholastic Reading Timer that parents can download for free onto any electric device. Each student will be given a username and password by their teacher. Our goal is for our whole class to read 100 minutes all together. The reading log for the challenge can also be turned in at the beginning of the year for a dog tag.
